If your shopping vice is amazing printed dresses with ultra-wearable appeal from brands like Kitri, Ganni and, of course, Rixo – arguably the label that started the craze – then why not go back to the original clothes that inspired these pieces. Now you can with True Vintage, a curated edit of designer vintage from Rixo that takes fans of the brand back to the source material – unique vintage pieces that co-founders Henrietta Rix and Orlagh McCloskey have collected on their travels, mainly from visits to vintage markets in Parma, Italy. It’s all part of the brand’s vision for sustainability that includes stepping back from twice-weekly drops, instead there will be fewer collections and more “online flea markets” at selected times during the year. The first vintage drop, which went live yesterday morning, includes brands such as Moschino, Pucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Biba, Leonard and Versace – however, our favourite piece has to be a pair of YSL espadrilles with rainbow stripes, which we would pounce on if the vintage sizing wasn’t so petite. If the autumn winter collections going on sale now are all about easing us into a new season then the just-launched drop from Irish label Fee G does so with aplomb. The brand, which won the Drapers Independent Womenswear Brand of the Year Award in 2022, is following on from its success with a new collection titled Tactile Dimensions, which plays into the brand’s flair for structured and classic pieces, albeit with a contemporary leaning.
