Revisit This Affordable Make-Up Range Rated By Top Artists

Add Inglot’s well-priced daily staples to your make-up bag …

WHAT: Founded by a Polish chemist, Inglot was originally brought to Ireland by the entrepreneurial Swarbrigg family in 2009. It closed during Covid, but is now re-emerging, run directly from its Poland HQ. Inglot is a cruelty-free (PETA certified) and 70 per cent vegan range that has long been a favourite with beauty insiders.

WHY: The range of great colours and formulas at decent prices – lipsticks are €20, with liquid glosses at €18, and foundations start from €24.

THE SIGNATURE STAR: The Freedom System is all about customisation and avoiding waste – buy your mirrored four-square palette case (as glossy as any YSL version) for €12 and then choose shades (€10-€11) from matte or pearl and shine or shimmer to add in – they’re magnetic, so it’s all very easy. One, two and three-square palettes are available, too (CH Tralee has a good selection).

WHAT’S NEW: Renowned make-up artist Val Garland’s series of easy beauty routines offers tutorials on looks from classic everyday to minimal, skin-first glow. A longtime fan of Inglot’s gel liner, her short videos highlight the looks, too. If it’s good enough for Garland …

Like many other brands, Inglot recently launched creamy stick blushers (€25) in four shades, containing fruit and seed oils to get that glide, plus a Liquid Face Blush (€2) that’s very similar to a recent designer launch we tried.

The new set of seven make-up brushes makes a good gift at €46.

OUR PICKS: We admit to not being skilled enough to master gel eyeliner, but we’re fans of the Outline Eye Pencil in shades from cerulean to emerald, with a built-in sharpener (€17).

We also love the Natural Origin Nail Polishes, with shades from Mocha Mousse to Dark Chocolate (€19) – they stay glossy on your nails for up to six days.

And the Minimalist Make-up Bag in black (currently €13, down from €25) is a great investment – roomy, soft and squishy yet structured enough to protect your powders and pencils, etc. There aren’t many great make-up bags around, and this one is good value for money (it’s also available in cream).

THE STEAL: Inglot’s More Than A Legend mascara is currently €21.25 (usually €25) at www.cloud10beauty.com.

The full Inglot range is available online and at select stockists nationwide. www.inglotcosmetics.com
