Is Kristin Scott Thomas your Christmas muse?
Diana Taverner, the cool, calm and collected “Second Desk”, played by Kristin Scott Thomas in Slow Horses, is the type of woman who would never arrive in the office with creases in her shirt or coffee stains on her trench coat. Off screen, Kristin’s style is more relaxed, informed by living in Paris and her love of elegance. “I enjoy being glossy”, she admits. Key accessories include pretty watches (she wears a Cartier Baignoire) and gold bracelets: “Every time I made a film, I would buy myself a little piece of gold”. No doubt she added another bangle after her directorial debut this year with My Mother’s Wedding, a semi-autobiographical drama she co-wrote with her husband John Micklethwait. When not working, Kristin’s favourite thing? “Baths. I can have two, three a day …” A goal this Christmas. @pennymccormicked
