Red Hot: A First Look At The New Season Collections At Arnotts

On what feels like the first official day of autumn, Arnotts showcased its AW23 collections – here’s what’s in store for the new season …

After an unseasonably warm start to September, this feels like the official first day of autumn weather – despite blue skies, there’s a crisp chill in the air. This morning, Arnotts showcased its AW23 collections: and just like that, Goodbye Summer! Now we are looking forward to autumn dressing …

Tara Jarmon.

Shades of red have dominated the autumn winter fashion collections, and Arnotts took the colour of the season as their starting point for today’s show with red draping and a tomato red catwalk. Opening the show, red looks glided down the runway from designers including Roisin Linnane, Selected Femme, Queens of Archive and Tara Jarmon.

Boss.

Tailoring was another key focus with Fabienne Chapot and Boss paired with APC’s extremely chic new season leather shoulder bags. Dream Sister Jane’s shimmering gold two-piece was elegant with its white frilled collar. It was paired with double-strap mary janes by Carvela. Outerwear for winter was beautifully served by coats by Weekend Max Mara, Samsoe Samsoe and Marella, while Kurt Geiger and Steve Madden chunky leather boots (a staple across many looks) ran the gamut from ankle to knee-high. A pair of Western-style knee-high boots from All Saints also stood out, paired with a purple printed dress by Fabienne Chapot.

Selected Femme.

Leather looks marched on next, with a great khaki-green two-piece from Weekend Max Mara and two pretty grey knit and silver combinations which showed how minimalists can do metallics too. For the brave, there were shimmering sequined dresses (some more sheer than others) from Essential Antwerp and Baum und Pferdgarten. Other standout dresses came from Irish designer Roisin Linnane, Stine Goya, Self Portrait and Dream Sister Jane.

New brands for the season include Anne Louise Boutique, Queens of Archive, Self-Portrait, Reformation, Ghost, Paige, Claudia Sträter, Call It By Your Name, Lalo The Shop and Mario Valentino.
