The brand showcased its AW25 collection at New York Fashion Week: here’s what we loved …
Returning to New York Fashion Week for the fourth consecutive September, COS showcased its AW25 collection to much aplomb. Staged at Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse on Brooklyn’s waterfront, the industrial space was reimagined in crisp whites reflective of the brand ethos: simplicity and clean minimalism. Amidst the modernist staging, a flurry of fittingly sleek A-listers took in the 47 new season looks, including Naomi Watts, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jodie Turner-Smith and Lauryn Hill on the front row. Star of the moment Christopher Briney, an accumulator of super-fans for his role as Conrad in hit show The Summer I Turned Pretty, was a new face.
As for the clothes? Unsurprisingly – and yet, gladly! – minimalism was at the heart of the proceedings. The show is also a chance for the high street brand to showcase its premium pieces that nod to craftsmanship (and have a premium price tag to match).
For autumn, it’s all about texture. Think: pony-effect coats, supple leather two-pieces and striking shearling jackets. The key colour palette comprises black, steel grey and deep navy, which is punctuated by airy neutrals. The print of the moment is a traditional check, while flashes of excitement came through transparent fabrics, undoubtedly an ode to eveningwear dressing. All in all, the look was streamlined, with pockets of freshness. The coats, in particular, were not a far cry from what you’d see minimalist dressers wearing on the streets of Paris or New York come winter.
It’s been a good spell for COS, of late. Earlier this year, The Lyst Index, which ranks the fashion world’s hottest brands and products (and usually engages mainly with luxury fashion), named COS as the sixth most popular brand of the first quarter of 2025, pipping brands such as Bottega Veneta, The Row, Chloé and Toteme to the post.
How to shop the AW25 collection? Select pieces from the autumn winter 2025 show are available to buy immediately at COS stores and online at www.cos.com, with limited numbers dropping throughout the season.
