Red-Hot and Green: N°1 de Chanel Has Come to Town!

Chanel’s brand-new collection for face, body and mind has landed – and you can get up close and personal with it at Arnotts this month …

N°1 de Chanel is brand-new for 22 – a complete routine from cleansing through to lip colour and fragrance, all powered by the fabulously beautiful and powerful red camellia flower. It’s a luxurious take on sustainable beauty. And now you can see it and try it for yourself as a pop-up boutique has just sprung up in the Beauty Hall at Arnotts, until February 21.

It’s the best way to see these red-hot new products in action, from the incredibly light and airy new foundation to the energising, bright spritz that is L’Eau Rouge, a fragrance mist designed by Chanel perfumer Olivier Polge and his team. Even the sachet samples are striking – bright red and petal-shaped and collectable in themselves.

The standouts? Here are five key elements to discover:

1 When a new Chanel foundation arrives, we take note. Red Camellia Revitalising Foundaion is water-weight and perfect for spring, and contains skincare elements including camellia japonica (red camellia) seed oil. €70 in 20 shades.

2 With notes of jasmine, orange blossom and rose, plus hints of fruit, L’Eau Rouge is bright and refreshing – think of the smell of your most luxurious skincare and that gives you an idea. Keep it on your desk or in your bag so you can keep re-spraying it – it has a refreshing, wake-up feel that makes it a mood-lifter (plus the red glass bottle is a beauty). €105.

3 The lip and cheek balms! Red Camellia Revitalising Lip and Cheek Balms, in six delicious shades from subtle dusty rose to a black cherry, are beautifully plumping and moisturising to wear, without being at all sticky – that’ll be the rose camellia oil. They’re all about that fresh spring look, giving a natural-looking stain of colour that’s all we want to wear our our lips right now. Plus the Red Camellia is a great intro shade if you’re not usually comfortable wearing a red lipstick. €45 each.

4 The serum is the star. The Red Camellia Revitalising Serum (from €105) in its glass jar delivers the perfect amount each time via its special dropper. And it feels beautifully restorative on the skin.

5 The entire range has sustainability and a streamlined approach at its heart, with lighter, recyclable glass packaging, no paper leaflets and organic inks for printing. We especially love the ingenious Revitalising Cream lid, created using recycled materials and camellia seed shells. And the luxurious Revitalising Cream is refillable (€98; refill €83).

6 There’s also a power-to-foam cleanser, a luxurious Revitalising Lotion, and a Serum-In-Mist to spray on throughout the day, say for a mid-afternoon skin wake-up.

From its looks to the sensoriality and ethos, No1 de Chanel is making a big impression in Beauty Halls right now. Head to Arnotts to find out more ….
