IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE STUDIO AT 3ARENA
The Studio is a newly designed space that will appeal to those who love live music, yet don’t want to sacrifice style or comfort …
From CMAT to Raye, and Ed Sheeran to Cian Ducrot, Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance and Kneecap – it’s a fact universally acknowledged that the line-up of upcoming shows and stars at the 3Arena is nothing short of spectacular this season and next year.
As one of the world’s busiest music venues, housing a 13,000-seat amphitheatre, it’s familiar to gig-goers and superfans as well as industry tastemakers. Less well known are its two private members clubs – something of an insider secret – which enhance any experience further by taking the stress out of practical details.
Who hasn’t booked a ticket to a show months in advance, only to discover on the ‘big day’ you are trying to juggle the demands of work deadlines and social life – dashing out the office door, making a quick change and getting to a venue in time. There’s often no time to recalibrate or, let’s face it, eat!
For a moment of calm and comfort, without any of the crowds, the stylish 1878 private members’ club at 3Arena is well established – it’s been welcoming members for over 20 years and offers an effortless dining experience complemented by an excellent wine list. For the last ten years, The Premium Club has also provided a swish sanctuary for members to enjoy the thrill of live performances without sacrificing comfort or convenience.
Newly refurbished, The Premium Club has been renamed the Studio, in keeping with its exciting new retro vibe and energy. Design details include vintage speakers, framed gig posters, record displays and perforated timbers suggesting a recording studio. In fact, the language of sound was an essential element in the creation of this space that appeals to all the senses. The spin of the record, the crackle of the needle drop, the pulse of the speaker and the rhythm of a sound wave … these are all incorporated in the décor creating an abstract visual homage to music’s raw energy and emotion.
Rich textures and warm tones define the new look club, which was commissioned by Live Nation Ireland and designed by Alan Ellis from Ellis Design Studio. Ellis was mindful of the venue’s rich legacy. “The design for the newly imagined club takes the relaxed aesthetic of a listening lounge, mixed with a vintage influence and off-beat colour palette and blends it with the industrial aesthetic of the building to create a space which is convivial, spirited, eclectic and joyful.”
All told, it’s just the sort of space to get into the mood for a magical evening, away from the queues outside. What’s more, membership of the Studio comes with a host of enticing benefits. These include priority booking access for every artist or act on the 3Arena schedule. Coming up in 2026: Andre Rieu, Rick Astley, Doja Cat, Jools Holland and, of course, Westlife!
Membership guarantees fast-track entry to concerts, through the Studio’s private entrance (exclusive cloakroom facilities are on hand too). Members can also expect complimentary ticket allocation (up to a set value per year) and online account management for seamless corporate and personal bookings.
However, it’s the pre-show hospitality offering that is particularly enticing and impressive. Once they arrive at the Studio, members can expect and enjoy delicious food and drinks which are quick and tasty. Behind the bar, curated wines and seasonal cocktails, which are regularly updated, keep the drinks list exciting. Meanwhile, the menu (think tasty burgers, pizzas and schnitzels) has been designed to get members to their seats just in time for that opening track. The good thing is doors open early so you can unwind, connect and ease into the night.
“It’s a place where members can relive the magic of music in a setting that feels both familiar and exciting,” says Virginia Fortune, Head of Private Members Clubs at Live Nation Ireland. “This transformation isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s a mindset shift. The refurbishment signals a refreshed approach to how members engage with the venue, the music and each other. This isn’t a velvet-rope VIP zone. It’s a club for music lovers: inclusive, elevated and full of personality.”
So if you want to remove yourself from the stress associated with crowds of fellow concert goers and enjoy a calm experience where everything is taken care of, the Studio is for you. Most of all, this stylish new space allows you of focus on you and your guests as well as enjoying the show.
