British luxury lifestyle brand Mulberry unveils its first standalone store in Dublin – here’s everything you need to know …
Can a bag save the world? This was the question posed by Mulberry in its Made to Last Manifesto in 2021, a series of bold commitments that laid out its actions for change, published to coincide with the brand’s 50th anniversary. The British luxury brand has big goals in relation to tackling sustainability and environmental concerns, and has implemented a huge amount of change so far. Plans for the brand include introducing a hyper-local, hyper-transparent supply chain for leather sourcing, and continuing to offer its repair, exchange and recycling services meaning that all Mulberry bags can have more than one lifetime. Signalling an exciting new era in the brand’s history, Mulberry is poised to take over our streets once again.
The good news for Irish shoppers is that we can now see the British heritage brand’s range up close and personal as Mulberry has just unveiled its first standalone store in Dublin. Located on Duke Street, in the historic Grafton Street area, it marks a welcome new arrival to the bustling shopping district. What to expect in store? The new destination features tactile interiors and furnishings inspired by the natural textures of the English countryside – paying homage to the brand’s Somerset origins, where its carbon-neutral factories are still located today. The store will feature an expansive range of Mulberry’s signature and seasonal product across both men’s and women’s collections, including some brand new designs as well as old favourites.
Speaking of old favourites, are you an Alexa or a Bayswater woman? In 2009 at the height of her It girl fame, Alexa Chung was the inspiration behind a new satchel for Mulberry. Grabbing the attention of Chung’s legions of style devotees, the Alexa was one of Mulberry’s best-selling bags for many years. Recently relaunched, the Alexa is now available in 14 shades, with the mini Alexa available in 19 colours. A classic Bayswater top-handle is another perennial that will never go out of style – there is a level of chic that comes with carrying a Bayswater. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, you can rest assured this design icon will never date.
As well as the classics, perhaps most exciting in the new store are the brand’s limited edition and new season styles. The newly introduced Micro family, a series of small-scale iterations of some of Mulberry’s most beloved bags, is available in store. We’ve spotted some of our favourite street style stars on Instagram wearing the new Mulberry Micros collection, the miniature Sadie Square is too cute to resist with its crossbody strap and typographic logo lock – we love the gorgeous navy glossy leather as well as the crinkled metallic silver. Visitors to the Duke Street store will also be able to discover the recently launched, limited-edition Mulberry x Miffy capsule collection, which sees Dutch bunny Miffy playfully adventure across a series of bags, accessories, and small leather goods in celebration of the Year of the Rabbit for Lunar New Year.

Two striking new styles, the M Zipped and the Link, will also be available. A trio of envelope-style bags, the M Zipped is constructed, as the name suggests, to resemble the letter ‘M’, reflecting the iconic Mulberry brand. The slouchy silhouette, which is designed to be carried underarm, is crafted from supple leather and features a two-way strap for multiple ways to wear. The Link bag family has a distinctly soft, curvy shape, which is emphasised with chunky piping for a fresh, playful feel – whether you choose the original or the small size, the Link will be your new go-to bag with its gold chain insert on the strap adding a touch of luxe to everyday outfits.
All items featured in the Mulberry store are underpinned by the brand’s sustainable Made to Last ethos. Since October 2022, 100 per cent of the leather used in Mulberry collections is carbon neutral and sourced from environmentally accredited tanneries. Services offered at the Dublin store include both in-person and virtual shopping appointments; a repairs and restoration service for Mulberry products, which will be performed in-house at Mulberry’s Lifetime Service Centre at The Rookery, one of the brand’s two carbon-neutral Somerset factories; and tax-free shopping for eligible customers.
So whether you’re after the iconic Bayswater, the reinvented It-girl inspired Alexa or the brand new M Zipped, there’s a bag to suit all styles at Mulberry’s new standalone store on Duke Street. See you there!
