This Romantic Dress Brand Is Now Stocked At This Irish Boutique

Riffing on the Tudor and Victorian eras, tales by the Brothers Grimm and tapestry details, Meadows makes a strong case for ethereal dressing …

Square necks, tapestry handbags, decadent velvet dresses; the world of Meadows conjures a host of reference points: from fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm to the bygone Tudor era. What’s more, the brand knows the power of a good dress.

Built for the hopelessly romantic dressers amongst us, the Hackney-designed brand describes itself as a fusion of “Victoriana, prairie-style, and folklore”, and is the brainchild of Australian born Louise Markey, a graduate of Central Saint Martins.

As of this week, you can buy Meadows at Dublin boutique, Scout. Founder Wendy Crawford was drawn to Meadows thanks to its “romantic, soft and wonderfully feminine” pieces that “feature lots of gorgeous embellishment, big collars, a little frill and a lot of fun”.
