Lunch Outside: Pretty Things for the Perfect Tablescape

While entertaining outside was a necessity last summer, we hope our meals outside will be more joyful now that we are better prepared. Whether it’s a cup of coffee in the morning sun, an elaborate dinner under the stars, or a long lunch with family and friends, now is the perfect time to prep your patio for what lies ahead.

First, think pergola, canopy or parasol – the prettiest (like these tasselled versions above) will sell out fast. Then table and chairs – a mixed assortment works outside. Then arrange groupings of planters with ivy, box, hydrangeas, greenery and colour that will last all summer. Finally, consider palette: our bet is to go with green, pretty, elegant and fresh.
