The Affordable Edit: The Row-Coded Summer Buys

Inspired by The Row, but your bank balance isn’t in line with your wardrobe goals? Shop these key pieces for the Olsen-approved look …

Silk trousers

Louche and luxurious, upgrade linen trousers to silk. As for the rest of your outfit? Add a white T-shirt or tank top with a shirt worn over it, a silk scarf as a belt, plus a slouchy tote bag.

Black Síoda silk trousers, €375; www.madigancashmere.com.

Platform flip-flops

Even if you’re not a mega The Row stan, the brand’s elevated take on footwear – namely, leather thong flip-flops – will be on your radar. The Row’s Ginza flip flops have spawned a multitude of dupes across high street and mid range brands (which is convenient as the original pair will set you back a cool €860). If you’d prefer a flat style, then a square toe will add that something extra.

Espresso Eden platform thong, €198; www.thereformation.com.

Lace camisoles

As inspired by The Row’s SS25 lookbook, you’ll have seen this styling trick all over: a long lace-trim camisole or dress, layered over a jumper and trousers. The trick is to have your top long enough for the lace-trim to peak out.

Black lace-trimmed satin dress, €34.99, at H&M.

Lace-trim slip skirts

Speaking of boudoir-inspired camisoles, slip skirts with a frothy lace trim are a veritable power piece, softening basics like T-shirts and crewneck jumpers. Whether it’s calf-length or the flirtier above-the-knee hem we’re seeing everywhere right now, wear a slip skirt with a striped shirt à la Vogue’s shopping director.

Black Gwen textured satin lace skirt, €89; www.jcrew.com.

Lanyard necklaces

Think necklaces with a boho vibe – leather cords and natural materials are key – that give the impression they’ve been fantastically curated while globe-trotting. For the past few seasons, lanyard style pendants have been au fait with the fashion crowd and this season they’re ramping up a notch. Carrying your loot in your necklace, almost like a talisman, is now trending. See Massimo Dutti’s mesh necklace that comes replete with its own foraged stone collection.

Silver tone mesh necklace, €69.95, at Massimo Dutti.
