A special sweet and sour cocktail with a twist to wow your guests …
To make the Clementini (I’m really pleased with myself for coming up with this name!), shake the juice of a clementine with six parts vodka to one part white vermouth, then pour into a frozen glass (this part is essential – and a good reminder to always have a stash of freezer-chilled glasses at the ready). The key is to have only one, so as not to arrive at the dinner table too tipsy … @kittycoles

Ingredients
60ml gin
10ml dry vermouth
15ml fresh clementine juice (about 1/2 a clementine)
A few drops of orange bitters (optional)
Ice cubes
Method
1. Fill a mixing glass or shaker with ice. Add the gin, vermouth, clementine juice and orange bitters.
2. Stir (or shake, if you like it slightly cloudier and colder) for 20-30 seconds until well chilled. Strain into a frozen glass.
3. Twist a strip of clementine peel over the top to release the oils (optional), then drop it in as a garnish.
