Photographer, artist, assistant professor at DCU, Jurisic, born in the former Yugoslavia, has lived in Ireland for 20 years. A respected figure in the art world, she is known for her humour, her fierce intelligence, and her haunting, extraordinary photographs steeped in history and a sense of place – and displacement.
Having broken her arm before the shoot, she created a sling from a MaxMara scarf. Of her Caractere dress, she says, “I was attracted by the colour, the print.” This month she collaborates with fashion designer Roland Mouret on an installation launching November 15 at the RHA Gallagher Gallery on Ely Place, Dublin 2.
