Long-sleeve midi dresses aren’t just a trend, they’re a wardrobe staple …
It’s hard to find an occasion that doesn’t call for a great midi dress. Long-sleeve midi dresses aren’t just a trend, they’re a wardrobe staple. There are some really good renditions on the Irish market right now. We’re loving Irish designer Niamh O’Neill’s pink star-print, silk-satin midi dress with contrast red lustrous bow. It has a flattering low-ish V-neck with ruched detailing and graduated hem, and a going ‘out, out’ appropriate front split. “Wear with strappy heels on a night out or with cream knee boots for a special lunch,” O’Neill told us. Also high on our lust list is O’Neill’s Irish linen (winter weight) Circle dress (linen has exceptional eco-responsible credentials) teamed with chunky lug-soled boots and a cosy knit cardi. Looking for something more neutral? Check out Irish designer Fee G’s new pleated midi dress: made from the lightest-weight fabric, it’s patterned with a neutral snakeskin motif. Its classic silhouette with long sleeves and pleated skirt will look great worn with a belt to define the waist. Pair yours with knee boots or heels. Another Irish business to check out is Glossy favourite stylist Sarah Rickard’s newly launched online boutique called Styled By: Sarah Rickard. Featuring a modest edit of chic but wearable labels, Rickard has devised an easy-to-use, effective personal shopping service that will make looking great far easier for busy mums and under-pressure professionals. Rickard also offers one-to-one bespoke styling appointments at her in-house studio in Ratoath, Co.Meath.
