Interior designer Sara Cosgrove was commissioned to craft a pied-à-terre that would serve as a comfortable and stylish base for a couple with a true appreciation for texture, art and crafted design.

Conceived as both a bolthole and a convivial space for entertaining, the apartment reflects the spirited ethos of its owners who have a real zest for life, travel and culture.

They asked Sara to create a dynamic and layered space, so based on this the design narrative was shaped around three principles: comfort, atmosphere and authenticity.

Removed kitchen Island seating and adding storage to the banquette seating.

An uplifting, curated palette sets the tone, drawing from both modernist influences and the couple’s art.

Sara used a mix of craftsman led and custom designed furniture and furnishings, including a custom one-off rug in the main living area.
