Find flares that fit just right …
It seems for years we’ve been struggling with the flares trend. Loving the look of wide-leg or flared jeans on a website, only to be swamped by jeans that are three inches too long when your online delivery arrives. (By now you’d think designers/retailers would get the memo that us average folk simply do not have the same leg length as e-commerce models.) And, while petite ranges are great, the breadth of stock still has a long way to go at most major retailers. Some of us have been making do by sending everything to the tailors, others simply buy ‘cropped’ flares, which actually fit like regular lengths.
Cue: spring’s new flares, that actually fit. It seems the idea of the hyper long flare is gone (rejoice!) and while some styles are obviously cropped and ankle-grazing, others seem to drape perfectly, stopping just short of the floor. We’ve rounded up four flared styles to love for spring, below.
