One in seven Irish women will develop breast cancer, so now’s the time to honour the millions of lives affected by getting involved in any way you can.

Big Pink Breakfast

Acclaimed Irish author and breast cancer survivor Patricia Scanlan is urging everyone to sign up to host a Big Pink Breakfast in aid of Irish Cancer Society. It can be be as simple as a family and friends get-together at home, a tea or coffee morning at work, or a bake sale in your community. All donations raised will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and free support services.

Swim In Pink

This popular fundraising event, organised by the National Breast Cancer Research Institute in association with Blackrock Beachwear, is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year. To date, over 5,000 swimmers have taken part, raising over €500,000 for life-saving breast cancer research. Participants of all ages and levels are encouraged to splash, dip or swim on October 12 by registering on the interactive website.

Breast Cancer Awareness Collection at Primark

Primark’s Breast Cancer Awareness collection features clothing carefully designed to make women feel comfortable and confident, no matter where they are on their journey. The collection boasts a wide range of items, from post-surgery bras with front fastening and comfortable underwear to breathable pyjamas. There’s also t-shirts for family and friends to raise awareness.

A Call To Tune In: Minding Our Girls

Join GROUND Wellbeing founder Peigín Crowley in conversation with Emily O’Donoghue and Triona McCarthy at Brown Thomas in Co Cork on October 22. Expect a heartfelt discussion on self-care, burnout and friendship during an evening dedicated to encouraging women to slow down and check in with their body. Peigín will also unveil a limited-edition self-care gift box, featuring GROUND Night Body Balm and Sleep Pillow Spray, with €10 from each box sold going to Look Good Feel Better, supporting women undergoing cancer treatment.
