IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ULTRACEUTICALS
Here’s everything you need to know about Ultraceuticals’ clinically proven skincare …
Bestselling Australian cosmeceutical brand Ultraceuticals celebrates 25 years of skincare expertise this month. We caught up with their Global Education Manager Tracey Beeby in Dublin this month to tell us about the exciting new launches and what makes Ultraceuticals special …

Tracey Beeby.
New to Ultraceuticals? Here’s the lowdown …
Ultraceuticals was founded in 1998, when Dr Geoffrey Heber formed a team of Australian and international chemists to create potent, effective and affordable cosmeceutical skincare. Ultraceuticals is all about visible results – every formulation is scientifically tested and panel-tested on the people who would use it (never animals – the brand is certified cruelty-free), while avoiding synthetic dyes and synthetic fragrances, instead using natural aromas from plants. “We focus on formulations that are results-driven without compromising on texture and aroma, and that’s what makes us unique. It’s that simple,” says Dr Heber.
The Ultraceuticals range covers all the key daily essentials, from different kinds of cleansers to specialist serums to suit acne and breakout-prone skin. And there are also expert treatments available at salons (find your nearest at www.ultraceuticals.ie/pages/treatments), suited to every different skin concern, from acne to dry skin or dullness.
New launches
Meet the three new skincare stars just added to the range:

A luxurious night cream: Ultraceuticals Ultra DNA³ Complex Recovery Night Cream (€90) contains a triple-enzyme complex that works with the skin’s natural night-time renewal cycle to intensely nourish, hydrate and soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Ultra Lux Technology transforms this rich and intense cream into a serum upon massaging to maximise absorption. It’s a pleasure to use – and a pleasure to wake up to plumped, softened skin.

A redness-reducing serum: Ultraceuticals Ultra R.E.D Corrective Serum (€102.50) is designed to visibly minimise the appearance of redness by restoring moisture, enriching lipids and de-stressing skin. This corrective serum is formulated with a powerful complex of calming and hydrating ingredients, including polyphenols and a Vitamin C derivative.
If you have rosacea, Tracey Beeby recommends that you “try to avoid some common triggers, stress being a big one, alcohol, caffeine and heat, and then use topical products that will help to reduce the inflammation and calm sensitivity, as well as reduce the visible redness in the skin. Ultra R.E.D has been dermatologically tested to be suitable for rosacea-prone and sensitive skins and will provide comfort for the most sensitive of skins, while helping to reduce the visible redness.”

An easy-to-wear SPF: Ultraceuticals Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturising SPF30 Mineral (€65) is a 100 per cent mineral broad-spectrum sunscreen. It protects against UVA and UVB rays, reduces blue light transmission and protects against pollution, while feeling velvety on the skin. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, this light, non-greasy formula contains caffeine and carnosine, two powerful antioxidant ingredients and is water-resistant for up to 40 minutes. So it’s ideal for winter holidays as well as everyday wear.

TRAVEL-FRIENDLY
We asked Tracey Beeby for some further skincare tips. As someone who travels frequently, what’s her best advice for keeping skin hydrated on the go? “I have some essentials from the Ultra range that I cannot live without. That is, my Ultraceuticals Hydrating Skin Mist to keep me hydrated during the day, even over my make-up. Ultraceuticals Replenishing Mask I would not fly without; on a long-haul flight, I apply this every 2 hours. Then the Ultraceuticals B2 Hydration Mask to plump, cool and intensely hydrate the skin.”

ADAPTING TO THE SEASON
As we head into autumn/winter, should we be making adjustments to our skincare routines? “Check in with your skin therapist, as you may need to step up your moisturiser and maybe also adjust your cleanser accordingly. Some people become more sensitive in the cooler months, so the Ultraceuticals Ultra Calming Cleanser is ideal, along with any of our moisturisers from the Ultra Moisturiser range.”
Finally, what one item (beyond SPF) would Beeby not be without? “Not one but two – the Ultraceuticals Ultra Protective Antioxidant Complex, which provides my skin with environmental protection under my Ultraceuticals UV Protective Daily Moisturiser every day. This acts and feels like an active primer so works well under make-up. Another is the Ultraceuticals Ultra A Perfecting Serum, purely for the endless benefits that retinol has on the skin; I use it at night under my Ultraceuticals DNA3 Night Cream. It’s an essential to keep my skin plump and hydrated.”
