Leather, long lengths and lashings of black: the gothcore trend is taking off …
Black is back! Just ask Net-a-Porter, who has invested in no less than 700 styles of black dress for autumn. Meanwhile, according to Pinterest, searches for goth styles – across fashion and interiors – are skyrocketing. The trend, known as gothcore, may sound off-putting, but its components aren’t: think lashings of leather, chunky tractor-sole heels and sweeping lengths. In other words, if it looks like Wednesday Addams might covet it, then you’re on the right track. Right now, the LBD, that is, Long Black Dress, is all the rage. Try a hemline that hits the floor.
