Aveeno welcomed readers of THE GLOSS to a very special morning of wellness at The Grain Store, Killruddery Yard …
Guests enjoyed a great start to the weekend at the beautiful Killruddery Yard at Aveeno®’s autumn reset event, Wake up to Wellbeing. The event took place in the cosy and elegant Grain Store which was adorned in hanging seasonal foliage and lit by a log fire.
After coffee and juice, the morning kicked off on yoga mats with a gentle mobility flow session led by fitness instructor and health coach Cristíona Aston, who is based at the Stable Studio at Killruddery; she then led guests through a calming meditation sequence. Energised and relaxed, guests then enjoyed a delicious “garden to plate” breakfast, featuring the freshest produce from Killruddery’s gardens.
Next came an exclusive panel discussion featuring Cristíona Aston, trichologist and stylist Trudy Hayes and THE GLOSS Beauty Editor Sarah Halliwell, with a focus on ways to look after ourselves as we head into winter, and simple habits to help keep mind and body healthy and reduce stress. After a Q&A session, guests stayed for coffees and had their scalp health checked by Hayes, who had her scalp camera on hand – a healthy scalp is vital for good hair condition – and then headed off to browse the excellent Saturday food market at Killruddery.
