The Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ is one of the most anticipated events at the Dublin Horse Show – not least for the fashion! Close to 500 stylish attendees took to the Best Dressed stage and shared their look with MC Laura Woods on the day to be in with a chance to win the coveted title. This year’s emphasis was placed on sustainability – whether exploring vintage fashion, buying from sustainable brands or upcycling; sustainability was key to being Best Dressed in 2023, according to judges Bairbre Power and Lorraine Keane.
The elegant Maria De Leon Castillejo from Sevilla in Spain was crowned Best Dressed at the 2023 RDS Dublin Horse Show, wearing a silk jacket purchased on her travels through India and a claret jumpsuit and shoes from Spain. Speaking about her win Maria said: “To win here at the Dublin Horse Show is very special for me because I first came to Ireland when I was seven and returned for a number of summers to learn English in Bantry, Co Cork. It is something I never expected, but my friends kept telling me that I had to enter the Best Dressed competition. I am in complete shock, but so delighted!”
Judges Bairbre Power and Lorraine Keane said of the winning look: “The fact that we both independently selected Maria and her entire look, says it all. She mixed vintage with designer to create the most stunning look, that for us summed up Best Dressed!”
Anantara Hotels & Resorts was the proud partner of the 148th annual Royal Dublin Horse Show Ladies’ Day, Ireland’s most iconic social and sporting event in celebration of all things equestrian. Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel and Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort teamed up to offer a desirable first place prize combining luxurious hotel stays and indulgent spa treatments in both destinations worth over €10,000 for the very lucky winner.

The runner-up in the Best Dressed was Dee Maddock from Straffan, Co Kildare who walked away with an indulgent year-long spa Anantara Spa membership package from Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel. Dee’s head piece, handmade by her sister was constructed entirely out of hand dyed Badminton shuttlecocks and made a big impression on the judges.
