The MSL Mercedes Benz showroom in Ballsbridge was the setting for a spectacular evening of fashion and frow action …
There was a standing ovation for designer Louise Kennedy after her AW23 fashion show which also celebrated her 40 years of design. The audience of devoted fans, clients and the fashion community (many wearing archive Louise Kennedy pieces in tribute) included Eddie Shanahan, Lorraine Keane and Shelly Corkery and fashion writers Bairbre Power, Deirdre McQuillan and Corina Gaffey.
All showed their appreciation for the show which aced elegant evening wear, quietly luxurious casual wear and reinterpreted this season’s black trend her way. That being with exquisite embellishment, tailoring and femininity.
Special mention must go to the details. Guests enjoyed cocktails from Tanqueray and Taittinger champagne before the show, which had a special backdrop. It recreated Kennedy’s iconic Merrion Square townhouse boutique – there was even a nod to Paddy Paws – an integral member of the design team!
