The Devlin Hotel, Ranelagh hosted a gorgeous evening in the beautiful stella cinema for a special preview of the book club: The Next Chapter
The Devlin Hotel, Ranelagh welcomed guests into the glamorous Stella Cinema for a special preview of the new film The Book Club: The Next Chapter. Upon arrival guests were treated to a prosecco and canapé reception in the atmospheric, art-deco bar before cosying up in the luxurious red seats of the Stella… with plenty of cinema treats.
Starring Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen, the highly anticipated sequel follows the four best friends as they take their book club to Italy on a fun girls trip. When things go off the rails and secrets are revealed, their relaxing vacation turns into a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country adventure.
With Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist as their book of the month, the pals are inspired by the line “At a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what’s happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. That’s the world’s greatest lie,” as they navigate their Italian adventure. The film is filled with beautiful Italian scapes, fun, fashion and heart and makes us appreciate our female friendships.
Guests in attendance included RTÉ’s Nuala Carey, TV presenters Jenny Buckley and Lisa Cannon and author Sinead Moriarty.
Designer Helen Cody, stylist Cathy O’Connor, skincare guru Elaine Butler-Doolin and girl-about-town Avila Lipsett were also among the guests who enjoyed the glamorous evening.
THE GLOSS team was at the event and can definitely recommend the film, which is released in cinemas nationwide from Friday, May 12.
