A special afternoon tea experience inspired by Boodles’ Raindance 25 jewellery collection …
The five-star Dublin hotel has partnered with their Grafton Street neighbours, creators of fine jewellery since 1798, to honour the Raindance 25 anniversary collection. This year marks a special chapter in Boodles’ story, celebrating a quarter-century of one of its most iconic designs that’s become synonymous with Boodles. Raindance 25 adds a new twist to a now-classic design – exceptional pieces that for the first time feature rare Argyle pink diamonds, set among the signature white diamonds that define the original design.
It was during a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show in London 25 years ago that Boodles’ Director of Design Rebecca Hawkins was inspired by the play of light on raindrops. “Little did we realise two-and a half decades ago that we’d just created what would go on to be Boodles’ most cherished collection,” says Boodles Managing Director James Amos.

Inspired by the blush of these precious gems, Boodles Afternoon Tea in The Gallery comprises a carefully curated selection of freshly prepared sandwiches and scones alongside five newly created miniature handmade desserts, each reflecting Raindance 25 designs. These confections include a Chocolate Choux filled with milk chocolate mousse, White Chocolate & Raspberry Crémeux topped with silver and rose gold chocolate pearls, Strawberry Heart Petit Gâteau filled with a Champagne mousse entremet with mascarpone and almond, Pistachio & Vanilla Opera resembling a Boodles gift box with roasted pistachio flavoured buttercream layered with Chambord-soaked sponge and vanilla ganache, and Lemon Posset with homemade blueberry compote finished with gold leaf and chocolate pearls. The menu includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free courses plus a selection of sustainably certified teas, coffees and infusions from around the world, as well as a glass of Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve NV.
General Manager Vincent O’Gorman said at the launch; “Celebrating milestones like this one is what The Westbury is all about. As neighbours in the heart of Dublin city, and with our shared dedication to bringing moments to life adorned with timeless luxury, this collaboration is about honouring creativity and heritage.” @westburydublin @boodles
