From The Four Seasons To Rivals: 5 Shows To Stream In May

Romance, drama, comedy and cowboys – here’s what to watch on Prime Video, AppleTV,  Netflix, Disney+ and Paramount+ …

Off Campus | Prime Video

For those who couldn’t get enough of hit show Heated Rivalry, this more PG version based on the international best-selling five-book series by Elle Kennedy premieres on May 13. This romantic drama follows an elite university hockey team as they navigate love, friendship and adulthood. The impressive young cast includes Ella Bright (The Crown), Mika Abdallaand and Jalen Thomas Brooks (The Pitt), Antonio Cipriano (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin) and Josh Heuston (Dune: Prophecy), and has already been renewed for a second season.

Rivals | Disney+

An award-winning dramedy series adapted from Dame Jilly Cooper‘s 1988 novel, Rivals stars an ensemble cast: Irish actors Victoria Smurfit and Aidan Turner with British talent including David Tennant, Katherine Parkinson, Alex Hassell, Nafessa Williams, Bella Maclean, Emily Atack and Danny Dyer. The first season in 2024 proved a hit, with the second premiering on May 15. Amid ’80s excess and high stakes power games in the cut-throat world of television at its height, a scandalous battle for a popular franchise reaches fever pitch as long-buried secrets are unearthed. Expect OTT fashion and decadence, just like the decade we love.

Dutton Ranch | Paramount+

Also out on May 15, this nine episode spin-off and sequel to neo-Western Yellowstone (2018-2024) with Kevin Costner is the fifth series in the mega franchise, starring Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Ed Harris, Annette Bening and more. If you liked the drama of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, you’re sure to love this as the saga continues.

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed | Apple TV

This dark comedy 10-episode series stars Primetime Emmy Award winning actress Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) as a newly divorced mum who falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder and … football. The ensemble cast includes the loveable Jake Johnson (New Girl, Jurassic World), Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus), Brandon Flynn (13 Reasons Why), Jon Michael Hill (Elementary), Charlie Hall (The Sex Lives of College Girls) and Dolly De Leon (Nine Perfect Strangers). The first two episodes premiere on May 20 with weekly episodes every Wednesday until July 15.

The Four Seasons | Netflix

A Tina Fey creation with Date Night co-star Steve Carrell, Colman Domingo and more comic relief, the first season last year was an instant success. Now, the life-long friends set their sights on a new slate of destinations. From marriage problems and empty-nester midlife crises to a less-than-luxurious eco-resort and snow trips, hilarity ensues as the challenging subject matter is written with heart. Debuting on May 28 with eight episodes that you’re likely to binge immediately.
