HARVEST FESTIVAL SUPERIOR
Matiere Premiere’s perfumes are out of this world – and the French brand’s bath/ shower range is also exemplary, leaving skin softly scented (from €45 for 300ml). Vanilla Powder has become a cult bestseller for good reason; it’s original, warm but not too sweet, and impossibly beautiful. Try the body lotion. The perfumes are at Parfumarija, Westbury Mall, Dublin 2; the body range at www.matiere-premiere.com.
BALMY LIPS
Japanese skincare brand Tatcha is going great guns at Space NK. The Tatcha Lip Tints SPF25 are pricey at over €40, though – I love the colours, but I’m not sure why they cost so much more than similar options. Another option: Clarins’ new Lip Oil Balms (€31), a creamy version of the bestselling oils. www.clarins.ie.
POSH SOAP
Solid soaps are becoming more glamorous. French brand Carrière Frères’s four elegant organic options (€25; www.carrierefreres.com) are naturally fragrant. And try Ayuna’s creamy, non-drying facial Detox Soap (€47; www.floraison.ie) – it’s old-school and oddly appealing.
BRONZING BEAUTIES
Clarins’ starry bronzing compact (€42) comes complete with bronze, blush and gold highlight. Another office favourite is Westman Atelier’s Beauty Butter Powder Bronzer (€80, at Space NK, Dundrum Town Centre). The light, glowy powder, in its weighty compact, glides onto skin, and is worth the investment.
FEELING FLUSH
BeneTint is still the best thing Benefit does; I find many of their products over-packaged and pricey. But this old classic, created in 1977, delivers a flattering flush on cheeks and lips. €24.95, www.lookfantastic.ie.
