From archive Vivienne Westwood and Awake Mode to Stella McCartney, Rixo and Lela Rose, it’s a fashion tour de force …
The frenzy surrounding the return of And Just Like That has possibly only been matched by the frenzy surrounding what the cast wears. We’ve already noted the fact that Sarah Jessica Parker rocked Irish designer Simone Rocha in the opening scenes of season three and was even spotted wearing a bag from Irish designer Róisín Pierce’s accessories collaboration with Polène.
Now, while jetting from New York to Paris, SJP and her co-stars Kirstin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Sarita Choudboury and Nicole Ari Parker have showcased a host of looks – from ruffled dresses to corset gowns and sleek suits – by a roster of designer brands including Vivienne Westwood, Awake Mode, Lela Rose and Stella McCartney. Each look vastly different, but the one thing that unites them? The internet’s fascination with every last detail.
Ms Parker kicked things off with her usual aplomb, wearing a Liberty-print dress by British independent label O Pioneers. The brand has re-released its Rebekah dress, taking orders for a limited time only.
For the premiere in NYC, Parker mirrored Carrie’s love of Vivienne Westwood (after all, it’s the same designer who made the famous wedding dress from the first Sex and the City movie) in an archival dress from an auction of Westwood’s wardrobe last year.
Et juste comme ça! Another dress by the beloved British designer, this time made by Andreas Kronthaler, with a dirndl detail in a striking shade of mauve-grey.
While partying with some influential names in French fashion including Rouje founder Jeanne Damas and influencer Camille Charrière, Parker stunned in a silver gown with beading detailing.
Co-star Nicole Ari Parker embraced the metallics look in a golden draped mini dress by Stella McCartney.
Meanwhile, while doing press in Paris, Kristin Davis wowed in the Rio vintage rose-print ruffled gown by Rixo.
Equally, we appreciated Cynthia Nixon’s nod to quiet luxury with a cream long silk pleated dress and white cinched blazer by Awake Mode.
Sarita Choudhury, who plays Seema Patel, wore a custom creation, a strapless rose-print dress by New York designer Lela Rose to the show’s premiere in Paris.
Choudhury’s black tailored suit, paired with a white shirt and towering black heels, is arguably the slickest fashion choice so far.
The cast (sans Carrie) looked equally as chic trading the red carpet for the court while attending The French Open in Paris. From the muted colours to the capri pants worn by Davis, the looks felt suitably elegant for the occasion.
