At last, some exciting beauty opening news! After far too long shopping online, Brown Thomas open a fabulous, all-singing and dancing Beauty Hall this week in their new two-floor Dundrum Town Centre store – and it all kicks off this Thursday February 24 at 11am. It won’t just be a shiny new home to beauty favourites from the mightiest international brands, but also a host of emerging brands that are well worth discovering.

Planet Beauty is a “new retail concept and beauty habitat that promises to preserve, respect and empower every vision of beauty and deliver on inclusivity, diversity, progress, community and sustainability” – in fact, there will be 60 of the most sustainable and conscious brands on display. New launches to look forward to include Summer Fridays – I love their Cloud Dew Oil-Free Gel Cream, which is absolutely as light and lovely as it sounds – Medik8 and Dr Dennis Gross. There will also be a Westman Atelier counter in-store – the only place in Ireland you’ll find the luxury clean beauty brand loved by make-up artists and professionals.

There will be a glamorous new Beauty Lounge for salon treatments, such as luxury manicures and pedicures, to a retail-first – Get a Drip, who offer IV vitamin drips, injections and booster shots. We can’t wait to see the new store, which has been constructed using locally sourced materials and artisan pieces from Irish suppliers, including décor, furniture and rugs. 

Planet Beauty is your one-stop spot to discover the most exciting new launches for spring, from Tom Ford’s new Rose Garden collection – three rose-centred eaux de parfums, €206 each, to Lancôme’s Idôle Ultra Precise Waterproof Eyeliner – we raved about it in this post – and a new Face Scrub from fragrance favourites Le Labo, a blend of volanic ash, seaweed and ginger extracts (€43). The Jo Malone counter features a doll’s house filled with miniature favourite products.
