IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DONNYBROOK FAIR
Twenty-five years into its food story, Donnybrook Fair is unveiling four new chef-made meals inspired by the richer flavours and slower rhythms of the season. Plus, your chance to win dinner for one week …
For 25 years, Donnybrook Fair has been part of Dublin’s food story – a place to discover something delicious, pick up something special for dinner and seek out the kind of ingredients, dishes and advice that make good food even better.
At the heart of it all are the Donnybrook Fair kitchens. Behind the counters, a team of experienced chefs cooks every day, creating the handmade meals, seasonal dishes and much-loved favourites that have become a familiar part of dinner for customers in Dublin – and, through SuperValu and Centra stores nationwide, increasingly for households right across Ireland.
This month, there is something new coming from the kitchen.

Four new dishes have joined the Donnybrook Fair Handmade Meals range, created with the change of season firmly in mind. As summer gives way to cooler evenings and dinners move back around the kitchen table, the new arrivals lean into the food we naturally begin to crave at this time of year: warming, generous and deeply comforting.
It is an approach that has always been central to how Donnybrook Fair cooks. The chefs continually develop the range around the seasons, looking at ingredients, flavours and the way people actually want to eat. Autumn might call for richer sauces and slow-cooked flavours; another season brings lighter dishes and fresher ingredients. What remains constant is the attention paid to the food itself.

Among the new additions is a Paneer Masala, a rich, aromatic vegetarian option that brings plenty of warmth and flavour to the table. Alongside it, a collection of cosy new dishes offers exactly the kind of satisfying supper that comes into its own as the evenings begin to draw in.
Convenience may be part of the appeal, but these are meals with a chef’s sensibility behind them. Quality ingredients, considered recipes and proper cooking are the starting point, with each dish prepared so that, at home, there is very little left to do beyond heating, plating and gathering everyone around the table.

That combination of expertise and ease has helped make Donnybrook Fair a food destination for generations of Dubliners. From its beginnings on Morehampton Road in 2001 to the kitchens of today, the idea has remained remarkably simple: bring together people who know and love food, source well and keep finding new ways to make everyday eating more delicious.
And while that story began in Dublin, the Handmade Meals range now has a much bigger reach. Available in SuperValu and Centra stores nationwide, the dishes bring a little of the Donnybrook Fair kitchen to dinner tables across the country – whether it is a midweek family meal, a comforting dinner for two or simply something good to have waiting in the fridge after a long day.
To celebrate the arrival of the new dishes, Donnybrook Fair is also giving one reader the chance to win dinner for a week, with a week’s supply of Handmade Meals to take care of those busy October evenings. To be in with a chance to win, simply enter by completing the form below.
The four new seasonal dishes are in store now, with the range also available on a limited-time 2 for €12 offer – a timely reason to try something new as autumn settles in.
