Look Good Feel Better is a beautiful idea – a charity helping to boost the confidence and self-esteem of people living with cancer in Ireland …
If you or someone you know is going through cancer treatment, you need to know about Look Good Feel Better. The Dublin-based charity is dedicated to helping people face cancer with confidence, aiming to give them a boost during a difficult time. LGFB offer some great initiatives, including workshops – both virtual and in-person – with experts to talk you through helpful skincare and make-up advice and tips, in a relaxed group environment. To date LGFB have supported more than 10,000 women in Ireland.
In a survey of more than 26,000 participants, 92 per cent of respondents reported a confidence boost in their appearance following their workshop experience, with 98 per cent of those questioned saying they would recommend LGFB to other women with cancer. Beauty professionals, from skincare experts to make-up artists, volunteer to take the workshops. And here’s to the many beauty brands – including No7, Yes To…, Ayu and Carter Beauty – that already kindly donate products for these events.
If you have skills to share and would like to apply to volunteer, would like to donate beauty items or you’re going through treatment and would like to join a workshop, see www.lookgoodfeelbetter.ie for more info.
She is the queen of no makeup makeup and even manages to make a smokey eye look subtle.
