Slimmer than straight jeans, looser than skinny jeans, cigarette jeans are the in-between denim style that’s trending with the fashion set. Defined by a mid-rise waist, some styles sport turn-ups with a subtle nod to the 1980s, which might appeal more than the ultra-skinny styles of the 2000s.
A strong contrast to the stacked lengths over the last few seasons, with hems that pool at the ground, the appeal lies in the shorter leg length with only a flash of ankle – much more suitable for unpredictable spring weather.
