NEED TO KNOW: A collection of 15 Georgian townhouses, seven of which are listed buildings, on Half Moon Street (a colourful haunt for bachelors, bohemians, and artistic types in Victorian London which was also the setting for Oscar Wilde’s, The Importance of Being Earnest). Part of the Iconic Luxury Hotels group, design of the Grade-II listed hotel was completed by interior design firm Goddard Littlefair in 2021, with the aim of creating the feeling of a private residence, with all the luxuries and comforts of a five-star hotel.

THE ROOMS: There are 172 rooms and suites, each designed to reflect the spirit of the Dandy era. THE DECOR: Peacock motifs, paisley-patterned wallpaper and glamorous gold detailing. The Mayfair Townhouse has a playful, flamboyant design style with nods to the past throughout, from the period furniture to the vibrant colour scheme and the unique art collection – including Clarita Brinherhoff’s peacockm sculpture made from 25,000 Swarovski crystals – curated by art specialist Minda Dowling.

The Club Room.
DINING: Buffet breakfast is served in The Club Room, on the lower ground floor of the Townhouse, which also offers a casual all-day dining meny for a wuick lunch or light pre-theatre supper.
DO: Visit The Dandy Bar, a theatrical yet sophisticated bar with a cosy atmosphere that’s perfect for a cocktail.
