A quintessentially English experience …
AN INSTITUTION: The Goring, opened in Belgravia in 1910 by Otto Goring, is the only five-star luxury hotel in London owned and run by the family that built it and the only hotel to have been granted a Royal Warrant; it’s still a favourite with the royals.

The Goring Cocktail Bar.
THE VIBE: The Goring is the genuine article – grand but extremely welcoming, with impeccable manners. Faultless, old school service make one feel very comfortable indeed.
THE INTERIOR: Lovely layered English style at its most refined – silk wallpaper, deep-pile carpets, a mix of antique and bespoke contemporary furniture.

Executive Room.
THE ROOMS: Choose from elegant suites, rooms with garden view, with balconies, family rooms, all individually decorated and appointed with attention to detail, including Italian bedlinen and Egyptian cotton bathrobes and slippers. Grand bathrooms are stocked with Jo Loves toiletries. A Classic for One is perfect if you are travelling alone.

The Dining Room.
DINING: The hotel’s Michelin-starred Dining Room reopened early this year with a truly stunning redesign by the famous Russell Sage Studio. There is lively music and a sense of theatre (glamorous dessert trolleys gliding about; vigorous cocktail-making) next-level comfort banquettes and incredible food.
DO: You must visit the cosy Cocktail Bar, even if you only have a herbal tea served in an exquisite glass cup from an exquisite glass teapot.
DON’T: Miss The Goring’s legendary Afternoon tea.

LOCATION, LOCATION: In the heart of Belgravia, close to Buckingham Palace and five minutes’ walk from Victoria, The Goring is strolling distance from the royal parks and London’s best shopping, theatres and galleries.
THE VERDICT: Utterly charming, you won’t want to leave.
BOOK: A room for two sharing, from €665 a night. A Michelin-Starred Dine and Stay offer includes an overnight stay, a three-course dinner for two in the Goring Dining Room with glass of champagne and petits fours, full English or continental breakfast, and 24-hour access to The Fitness Room.
