We often wax lyrical about French fashion brands and French women’s style in general  but what about their stylish counterparts, the Spanish? Spanish fashion is often overshadowed, the little sister to bigger players in Milan and Paris. However, there are plenty of  hot-right-now Spanish brands and influencers breathing new life into its style scene. See Blanca Miró Scrimieri whose charmingly extroverted style is coveted (and replicated) far and wide. Meanwhile, Spanish heritage fashion house Loewe is going from strength to strength under the watchful eye of Northern Irish designer JW Anderson, the brand’s creative director. Here, we’ve rounded up the best Spanish fashion brands to put on your radar.

Who: COS by way of British label Toast, Hereu celebrates the best of Mediterranean craftmanship through its thoughtful handbag and shoe collections. Think wear-forever leather totes, directional summer sandals and fashion-pack approved shoppers. What to shop: The brand’s collaboration with Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen is definitely worth your time.

Who: Of the best Spanish fashion brands to know, La Veste is probably the coolest. Fronted by super stylist and fashion influencer Blanca Miró Scrimieri, you may recognise the label’s gingham Peter Pan collar shirts which are now ubiquitous on Instagram. What to shop: The label isn’t resting on its laurels however, it’s expanded into coats, hats, cute corduroy trousers and accessories such as belts. Who: The Barcelona-based label makes statement sunglasses that aren’t just for warmer months, as its latest ski campagin, pictured above, reminds. What to shop: Go big or go home. Who: Designed between Madrid and Paris, Maria de la Orden’s eponymous label is one of the best Spanish brands to know right now. Orden’s design eye also stretches to Table N 7, a chic homewares range that blends heritage with what’s hot in tabletop dressing. What to shop: Everyday heroes such as the Mario cashmere vest, pictured above, make for instant wardrobe classics. Cashmere button down shirts in quirky shades such as aubergine are screaming to be thrown on with your favourite pair of jeans.

Who: Knitwear aficionado Carlota Cahis started her label in 2017, with the aim to celebrate the modern knit. Pieces are made by artisans in Barcelona and are designed to flex to all areas of your life – and wardrobe. What to wear: A pair of the brand’s knitted trousers are the perfect WFH accompaniment.
