Bedside Table: What is Lucy Nagle Reading?

IRISH CASHMERE DESIGNER LUCY NAGLE SHARES THE BOOKS SHE’S GOT ON THE GO…

I have just finished The Great Alone by Kristen Hannah, set in Alaska. The story is harrowing but its descriptions of Alaska, and the hardship and beauty of the winters there, are amazing.

I am now reading Lady in Waiting by Anne Glenconner and it’s so enjoyable. After The Crown, it’s interesting to see things from another angle.

I prefer real-life stories to fiction and someone just recommended The Choice by Edith Eger, an Auschwitz survivor. I find myself drawn to that period in history and have read a lot of books about people who endured the Second World War.

For something totally different I also have Bitcoin Billionaires by Ben Mezrich (Little Brown) on my reading list, along with a book called Being The Lesser Person, given to me by the author Elizabeth O’Brien, a lovely lady who used to run the post office in Foxrock. When the post office closed she turned the premises into her own publishing business (www.elizabethobrienbooks.com). It’s a crime thriller with a romantic tale intertwined and I’ve heard good reports.
