Our favourite threesome is back for season three …

Who?
Most of the remaining cast will return including Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker and John Corbett (for now, at least). Karen Pittman will be missed as Miranda’s friend and professor as she’s been busy filming Forever on Netflix and season 4 of The Morning Show, which we’re already looking forward to.

Expect new characters including comedian (and new Irish inhabitant) Rosie O’Donnell as Mary, Cheri Oteri from Saturday Night Live and Kristen Schaal (BoJack Horseman, Bob’s Burgers) for comedic relief. Grammy, Tony and Olivier award-winner Patti LuPone, most recently seen in Marvel hit Agatha All Along with Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza, also stars. Guest starring English actress Dolly Wells (The Outlaws, Inside Man) and Rosemarie DeWitt (United States of Tara, La La Land) who is incidentally married to Ron Livingston IRL … the infamous Berger who dumped Carrie by Post-it note. Pop it in a pub quiz, with extra points for what he wrote. Three new potential love interests are set to appear: Mehcad Brooks (Law & Order), British actor Jonathan Cake (Empire, Desperate Housewives) and Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus, The Invitation and The O.C.) … now that’s a blast from the past!

What?
This season brings change as our favourite characters enter another phase of life. Carrie meets a cute new neighbour, but she’s still trying to figure things out with Aidan. Is a fresh start the answer? We think so. We wanted him back so badly after Big (the less said about him the better), but his last appearance was an unexpected flop. Charlotte has a tough time navigating raising teens, Miranda has a new work crush (who’s married) while Seema is dating again. Expect girl-talk, fashion and New York in its usual starring role. We still miss Samantha, though, so a proper cameo from Kim Cattrall would be the icing on the cake.

Wear?
We’re so proud to see some Irish designers showcased as SJP struts down the street in a Simone Rocha tulle dress – a nod to her tutu ensemble in the famous opening credits of Sex and The City – proving that bows, florals and puffall skirts can feel grown up with the right styling.
