FINE FRAGRANCES

Stories Parfums has travel-sized perfume bottles (€44, 15ml) which you can refill from the larger sizes – all their perfume bottles are refillable and can be supplied with a pipette for ease of transfer. The 15ml and 30ml are perfect sizes for on the go and these can be refilled from the larger 100ml bottle. www.storiesparfums.com

Memo Paris fragrance, co-founded by John Molloy, is inspired by travel. So their travel spray refills (€45 10ml, set of three €85) offer a way to try out one of these beautiful and long-lasting scents. Their Hermetica scents are also refillable, and you save around €50. At Brown Thomas.

HOME SCENTS

Rathborne 1488’s diffusers (€46) are refillable (200ml, €28), so you can scent your home with their lovely Dublin Dusk or the bright refreshing Wild Mint, Watercress & Thyme; www.rathbornes1488.com. Max Benjamin’s diffusers (€33) are refillable (€20, 150ml); we love the uplifting Lemongrass & Ginger; at www.brownthomas.com. Green Angel’s reed diffusers have eco-friendly refills available. L’Occitane offers refills on many of its favourite products (as well as offering TerraCycle recycling facilities in store), with refills from €20. So you can get 500ml of the wondrous Almond Shower Oil for €31.50 (usually €22 for 250ml).

Isle of Paradise has refill pouches of its excellent Self-Tanning Water (€18.74, 200ml: though you don’t save much money on them, it saves on plastic: refill pouches are €14.62 for 200ml. At www.Boots.ie.
