6 Places To Shop For Your Autumn Winter Wardrobe

Is your wardrobe ready for the new season? Shop the new collections at Dundrum Town Centre, where you’ll find brands that deliver style, comfort and confidence, all under one roof …

HOBBS

“Autumn always brings a renewed sense of purpose, whether you’re returning to work or other routines. So practical pieces that promise style, comfort and versatility become key – the warm coat, the cosy knit, the day-to-evening dress – and this collection is designed with that in mind,” explains Sally Ambrose, brand director at Hobbs. A key investment is Hobbs’ iconic trench, which returns in a longer length this season, while heritage checks come in bright new colours.

A range of accessories complements the collection, especially chunky-soled boots which work with everyday dresses and tailored trousers. With dresses starting from €105 and suiting starting from €308, and many designs available in petite sizes, there are styles to suit every woman.

MINT VELVET

Mint Velvet has always endorsed the belief that fashion should be fun. Its USP are contemporary styles in gorgeous prints and luxurious fabrics for easy everyday looks. This season, head-turning dresses and cosy jumpers predominate, while accessories include stylish totes and chic boots.

Invest in some of Mint Velvet’s easy-to-wear sequined separates too. Don’t save them for Christmas parties: you’ll find these sparkling additions will brighten moods and complexions.

FOLKSTER

The independent Irish brand and store Folkster, founded by Blanaid Hennessy, has a strong following and deservedly so. Fokster is a must-visit for occasionwear – brides and wedding guests will find a mix of Irish design and responsibly made or sourced dresses, gowns, tops and capes. Notable are its four bridesmaid collections in different colourways – Wildflower, Evergreen, Desert Rose and Seascape. Appointments for group fittings can be arranged. Don’t leave without browsing the quirky gifts and brilliant, on-trend accessories.

ALDO

Always up-to-date with the latest trends, Aldo delivers on style, quality and affordability. After a summer spent in flats, update “shoerobes” with statement block heels and stilettos.

Accessorise with this season’s ladylike top-handled bags in a range of pretty pastels.

PINKO AT HARVEY NICHOLS

Pop into Pinko at Harvey Nichols where you’ll find a new celebratory collection for a season of socialising. Colour – including vibrant greens, fuchsia pinks and vivid purples – is contrasted with shimmering sequins for “more is more” dressing, echoed in metallic mini skirts and silky shirts. Suiting is anything but rigid in mustard and purple colourways. Utilitarian padded khaki jackets, camel-coloured sweats and cargo trousers give the option of dressing down. Leopard print faux fur coats have an edgy glamour, while faux fur boots are a fun addition to your winter wardrobe.

BROWN THOMAS

Parisian designer Isabel Marant’s new autumn uniform is effortlessly chic and bohemian. You’ll find sweater dresses worn under oversized coats, accompanied by over-the-knee boots – one of the season’s key trends – alongside velvet going-out tops and signature denims in slouchy styles.

For original, arty dressers, Jonathan Anderson, creative director at Loewe, has designed stunning pieces for his AW22 collection. He has also revived Loewe’s forte – leather craftsmanship. This season, leather is not confined to traditional black. A bright leather mini dress and a butter-soft leather coat are smart investments, as are voluminous coats with draped detailing.

Ulla Johnson’s signature printed dresses are perfect for taking the wearer from desk to dinner. This season, Johnson was inspired by Alma Allen’s bronze sculptures which are echoed in the collection’s flattering metallic fabrics and graceful silhouettes. Wearing a dress over wide-leg trousers is another key trend, as is the use of 1970s-style patchwork, crochet and floral embroidery.
