Pantone announced “Classic Blue” or “Pantone 19-4052” as its colour of the year for 2020. Described as bringing a “reassuring presence instilling calm, confidence and connection”,  classic blue is a dependable hue in the home. “[Classic Blue] brings a sense of peace and tranquillity to the human spirit, offering refuge,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, “challenging us to think more deeply, increase our perspective and open the flow of communication” she added.

“Every room I design has an element of blue in it. I love it because it is the colour of sky and complements everything,” says architect and interior designer Natalia Miyar, who has a transatlantic practice based in London and Miami. Miyar loves to include accents of the colour on cushions, curtains and accessories, as well as using it to create bold statement furniture pieces; www.nataliamiyar.com
