Airbnb has revealed the top Irish destinations and ‘Guest Favourite’ B&Bs to visit this year. Whether you’re looking for a cosy cottage or a character townhouse to escape to, start planning your getaway now …

1. Cottage at Curraghmore, Killarney, Co Kerry
Wander along The Kerry Way, one of Ireland’s longest and most famous walking trails, or hike Carrauntoohil, Ireland’s highest mountain, with this unique location as a base. Formerly a pub and guesthouse, the 18th century townhouse is proudly family run since 1864 and comprises the café on the ground floor (a brunch lovers hotspot) and guest accommodation on the upper floors, with a separate entrance to the rear of the property.
