5 Food And Cocktail Experiences To Enjoy In Dublin

A popular pasta pop-up, strawberry bestseller, new summer menus and cool cookery classes …

Strawberry & Co, Powerscourt Townhouse, South William Street, Dublin

The trending treat that’s taken over the UK is finally in Ireland! Inspired by the viral chocolate strawberry stalls at London’s Borough Market, Strawberry & Co brings the same sense of indulgence to the city. The pop-up runs daily from 11am until sold out, until the end of August. Expect Wexford strawberries drizzled with warm Swiss chocolate for a classic taste, or try the Dubai Style cup featuring Chantilly cream and a sprinkle of roasted pistachios. If you’re looking for a refreshing drink, the Iced Strawberry Matcha might tickle your fancy while the Strawberry Mojito will cure your cocktail cravings. @strawberryandcodublin

Italian Pasta X Nonna’s Kitchen Pop-up, Fumbally Stables, Dublin

Sisters Monica and Daniela Ventura, second-generation pasta-makers from Bologna, are the matriarchs behind the famed Le Sfogline store where they preserve the heritage of the Emilia-Romagna region with each handmade tortellino. Meet these real Italian Nonnas on July 23-24 for an Italian-style session with hands-on pasta-making, family-style dining and a side of Birra Moretti. Can’t make it? Nonna’s Kitchen will go on tour across Ireland this summer, with one lucky fan in with the chance of winning a trip to Bologna. @birramorettiirl

New Summer Spritz Menu, Bar 1661, Dublin

This award-winning bar is entering the summer spritz chat with five new refreshing serves to join their lauded We Call This Power 28 drink menu, in the running for Best Cocktail Menu in the world at the Spirited Awards in New Orleans. From tart Silín (cherry) and chai to sweet strawberry wine and elderflower, each take on a classic is elevated with the best artisanal Irish ingredients. To celebrate the launch, BAR 1661 will offer a complimentary spritz on July 11. Just off Capel Street on a quiet corner overlooking leafy St Michan’s Park, the bar’s suntrap outdoor terrace is a world away from busy crowds – perfect for summer sipping. @1661bar

Four-in-one Miniature Cocktail Paddle, Stillgarden Distillery, Dublin

As part of Dublin Cocktail Week this month, indulge in four expertly crafted cocktails in 35ml tasting serves. This means all cocktail connoisseurs – or those of us who are chronically indecisive – won’t have to decide on just one! Each serve showcases Stillgarden’s playful and progressive approach to modern mixology, containing its own spirits and fresh ingredients from its on-site garden. The paddle includes a classic Cosmopolitan, Southside Social with gin made using rowan berries, mint and lavender from their sustainable garden, Sweet Honey Buí mixing Irish raspberry amaro and Buí 43, Ireland’s unique yellow herbal liqueur – along with the option of plant-based foam for a velvety mouthfeel – and the increasingly popular Espresso Martini, full of rich flavour from Stillgarden’s famous coffee liqueur, created in collaboration with double Michelin star chef Jordan Bailey and Cloud Picker Coffee. @stillgardendistillery
