5 Binge-Worthy Series Everyone’s Talking About

Love, money, power and murder …

Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials Mystery | Netflix

This three-part series based on one of Christie’s earliest novels is set in Edwardian England, starring the brilliant Helena Bonham Carter (The Crown), Martin Freeman (Sherlock) and Mia McKenna-Bruce (Persuasion). As a practical joke appears to have gone horribly wrong at a lavish country house party, it’s up to the unlikeliest of sleuths to unravel a chilling murder plot. Well-scripted, fast-paced and stylish, this will undoubtedly be a standout role for McKenna-Bruce. THE GLOSS team rates it.

Heated Rivalry | NOW TV

Connor Storrie (Joker: Folie à Deux) and Hudson Williams (Tracker) have skyrocketed to stardom thanks to this unexpected hit show, even presenting an award at the Golden Globes … although most of the glossy audience didn’t seem to recognise them … yet! One of the most talked about shows among Gen Z, the seriously steamy six-part drama (adapted from book series Game Changers by Rachel Reid) follows two hockey players over eight years as they navigate a secret relationship. Their chemistry is off the charts, confirmed by a second and third season already in the works. Other ones to watch include François Arnaud (The Borgias), Christina Change (The Good Doctor) and Dylan Walsh (Unforgettable).

I Love LA | NOW TV

Rachel Sennott (The Idol, Ayo and Rachel Are Single) created and leads this comedy series taking social media by storm, alongside Odessa A’zion who also stars in award-winning film Marty Supreme. An ambitious friend group of stars, talent managers, stylists – and a Nepo baby for good measure – reunite after years apart. Like New York in And Just Like That and the OG Sex and the City, Los Angeles is also a main character as a city that can either make or break you. Being chronically online is a prevalent theme too! Also starring Leighton Meester (Nobody Wants This: Season 2), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Jordan Firstman (English Teacher), Froy Gutierrez (Cruel Summer) and more.

Industry | Prime Video

A high-stakes financial thriller about backstabbing graduates vying for success at a London investment bank, set against the backdrop of the post-2008 recession. With new crafty and cunning ways to play in the Faustian rat race, season four is set to be the best yet. Returning cast includes Myha’la Herrold (Leave The World Behind), Marisa Abela (Back To Black), Harry Lawtey (Mr Burton) and Ken Leung (Saw) with major new characters in heavy-hitters Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones), Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things), Toheeb Jimoh (Ted Lasso), Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men) and Max Minghella (The Social Network).

Steal | Prime Video

Prepare to binge all six episodes of this new thriller starring Sophie Turner on January 21. An office worker’s life is upended when thieves storm her investment firm and forces her to execute their demands with a friend, played by Archie Madekwe (Saltburn). Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (Midas Man) investigates, while dealing with his own financial problems. Of course, it begs the question: how would you react in the same situation?
