Dr Laura Lenihan recently started stocking French skincare line Mimétique on her online beauty boutique, Phare. Founded by cosmetic chemist Fabienne Sebaoun, Mimétique is designed to support skin defence, hydration and repair, with prices from €47. The Skin Restore Cream is a bestseller – Phare is struggling to keep it in stock.
I’ve only tried the Skin Web face cream (€81) so far, but adore it – it doubles as a mask, and I prefer to use masks you can leave on the skin (rather than wash off later). This has a beautifully rich but light texture, giving skin a bit of bounce.
Why does Dr Lenihan rate the brand? “I like the fact the line is not overly large or complicated. I was drawn in by the neat, minimal packaging, and stayed engrossed by the ingredients – the Skin Booster supports the skin barrier with plum oil and squalane. Start with the Skin 360 starter kit (€52), a neat four-step routine (to which you need to add an SPF).”
