From luxury dead stock, or ‘luxe stock’ to rigorous standards and innovative methods, note these Irish fashion brands making positive changes …
Aoife Lifestyle
The spring summer collection from Aoife Lifestyle expands into ready-to-wear, introducing the idea of ‘luxe stock’ – the circular collection is made using dead stock fabrics from the finest luxury fashion houses, from Milan to Paris, that have been discarded for many reasons; a minute difference in colour, overproduction or a case of budgets being cut in the final stages of production. Not only is the brand’s aim to leave no footprint, its strives to have a positive impact on biodiversity: something that is a model for fashion brands going forward. The ruched shoulder midi-dress, €490, pictured above, is a real scene-stealer. Shop the collection at AoifeLifestyle.com.Â
fĂ©rĂ
Citrus shades, strawberry motifs, floral prints: this season’s collection by Wexford brand FĂ©RĂ has big summer energy. A particular shout out goes to the bohemian dresses which have event dressing written all over them. Each piece is made from organic and deadstock fabric meaning FĂ©RĂ is a perfect example of a contemporary slow Irish fashion brand. Shop the collection at Feri.ie.Â
