Ela! Ela!

Ella Mittas is a cook and food writer from Melbourne, Australia and she released a new cookbook this year, Ela! Ela!. My favourite dishes from the cookbook are the Chicken Rice and the Tzatziki – they would actually be great together. The photography and design is all done by Ella, including the lino print cover – beautiful. @elamelbourne

Midweek Recipes

Jess Elliott Dennison from Edinburgh has just announced her new cookbook, Midweek Recipes, which will be published in August. I LOVE Jess’s work and if you like my cooking, then you’ll love hers too. She is self-published which is so impressive. Most cookbooks will be done by a big publisher who will design, edit, print and sell your book for you, and Jess has done this all by herself. @jess_elliott_dennison

Saladology

Maybe I’m biased because I worked on this cookbook but it’s a great one for the summer. I helped Theo Kirwan, of Sprout & Co, write and test the recipes in his flat last spring, and then I food and prop styled it last summer. My favourite recipes from Saladology are the Sesame Cabbage with Poached Chicken (make sure you make the chilli oil!) and A Little Cucumber, A Lot of Herb Salad. @sproutandco

Café Cecilia

Café Cecilia by Max Rocha. I LOVE the cover. It’s a Phaidon classic in style and looks great on my coffee table. I’m going to make the Kirkham’s Lancashire cheese scones. @maxrocha__

Good Time Cooking

Good Time Cooking by Rosie Mackean: Rosie has created a book all about cooking for groups of people. Think menus with prep lists to make hosting and having people over less stressful. The Bologna menu looks amazing. @rosiemackeanpastaqueen

Second Generation

Second Generation by Jeremy Salamon: There’s a restaurant in New York called Agi’s Counter (follow it on Instagram @agiscounter) and I love its food. It’s an Eastern European inspired diner and bakery, which now has its own cookbook.

The Irish Bakery

The Irish Bakery by Cherie Denham. This is so much more than a baking book – it’s a bible for people who bake at home. There are too many good recipes to choose from, but I can promise I’ll be baking something from it this winter. @cheriedenhamcooks
