We all like to be beside the seaside, and with over 3,000km of coastline, there are almost 300 beaches dotted around the Irish coast to enjoy. Here are some of the best value coastal hotels to book this summer providing scope for bracing sea walks, water sports and delicious seafood menus …

The Armada Hotel, Co Clare
The team at The Armada Hotel, Spanish Point, are celebrating this month; they are the only hotel in Ireland to have been awarded B Corp certification. As such, Armada is the go-to destination for travellers who seek hotels that prioritise people over profit, empower local communities, assist conservation efforts and boost connections between tourists and locals. Of course, its beach location is a huge draw too and was the backdrop for designer Aoife McNamara’s latest collection, Season 9: Bláth Fiáin. McNamara used the beach as a catwalk for the floral-inspired designs in pretty pastels.
Part of The Armada’s environmental efforts includes regular beach cleans with Clean Coasts and it also collaborates with Coastwatch to support the conservation of an endangered seagrass species, which contributes to the long-term sustainability of coastal environments. Pictured is a sand art B Corp logo on Spanish Point Beach drawn by Waterford artist Sean Corcoran to celebrate Armada Hotel’s certification.
