It’s the existential question we face every time we go on holiday – what should I wear to the airport? For some of us, holiday time is initiated from the moment you leave the house – meaning your airport outfit should feel as special as your other holiday looks. For others, it’s purely about practical considerations; what will feel comfortable during what feels like an endless amount of queues, what creases the least, what works best for hauling luggage, buggies, organising children and partners. Realistically, the vast majority of us swing towards the latter, searching for comfort – but that doesn’t mean we don’t crave polish.

For once, fashion is actually playing ball – showcasing looks that prioritise comfy fabrics and slouchy styles which are made for travelling. Just look to the explosion of linen co-ordinates gripping the style scene. It may no longer be about high glamour, but travelling in comfort, while also feeling like you’re in touch with style sounds mighty appealing.

Breathable and heavy on comfort, linen is always a good idea for travelling. If the idea of a co-ord doesn’t appeal, trade a linen jacket for a denim one, or a lightweight cotton blazer.
