This week, the Council of Irish Fashion Designers (CIFD) unveiled its highly anticipated AW24 collections, showcasing the best of Ireland’s fashion talent. This is what we loved …
How would we describe the looks? Wearable and elegant, clothes you can easily see yourself adding to your basket. Red was the standout colour, with dramatic looks from Amilli, AndTate, Helen Hayes, Laura Chambers, Jack Murphy and Olwen Burke. Contemporary wool winter coats also dominated the runway: Magee 1866’s ochre wool coat, Urban Aran’s maxi knit coatigan, and Silvia Ortega’s winter white coat took centre stage. Strong winter florals from Cobbler’s Lane and FéRí caught our eye, and we couldn’t help but love Noema’s contemporary wool skirt suit and the dramatic print pyjamas by Moon + Mellow. There were plenty of chic accessories on show, including jewellery by Saw Framed, Capulet & Montague, Fior Só, Helena Malone, Natasha Heaslip, and Magpie Rose, as well as on-trend bags by Landa and Ruxx.
