Summer’s End Dreamy Dress Trends

The late summer mood is dreamy …

The season’s biggest dress trend? It’s all about unbridled romance. You can thank SS25’s great softening for this out and out ode to all things romantic. Designers are leaning into a gentler mood reflected in fashion, interior and cultural trends. And you can see it in the dresses trending now. Think: neutral tones, fairytale shapes and delicate textures.

We’re particularly taken by the abundance of pale pastels and blues abounding – the kind of hues that always flatter Irish skin-tones. See Aje’s pearl blue bubble hem dress below as a statement-making case in point. While Sinéad Keary’s bow-detail shift dress, from the Irish designer‘s Something Blue collection, is as pretty as they come. Polka dots are the anti-trend print we love, going nowhere fast for SS26, as seen on the runways at the recent Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Of course, these styles peak in high summer. But how do you wear them now? Team them with a slim button-up cardigan in a lightweight wool or knot a colourful knit around your shoulders while we’re transitioning to cooler weather. Shop the best romantic dresses below …
