Discover the ultimate reset, whatever your preference …

DUBLIN

All-day indulgence: The Spa at the five-star InterContinental Dublin offers express treatments of 25 minutes through to a full day: the Spa Daycation includes two 25-minute treatments (choose from back massage, reflexology or head massage) followed by a blowdry, nail file and paint. Complete the day with afternoon tea, by head pastry chef Orna Larkin, served in the Reading Room. The Spa Daycation also includes full use of the gym, 14-metre swimming pool, jacuzzi and relaxation area, plus complimentary car parking. €220 per person (Monday-Thursday); €260 per person (Friday-Sunday). Booking is essential at intercontinentaldublin.ie or by calling 01 665 4000.

Sleep easy: Ground Wellbeing’s Sleep Ritual, designed exclusively for The Spa at The Shelbourne by Peigín Crowley, is one of our favourite treatments. Focused on inducing deeper breathing and guiding mind and body into deep rest, this is a fragrant experience – think organic geranium and jasmine absolute – that will transport you to a better night’s sleep. The Shelbourne Ground Sleep Ritual, a 90-minute treatment, from €190; www.theshelbourne.com.

City centre gem: Ask a beauty insider for a good city-centre spa in Dublin, and chances are they’ll point you to Velvaere, cunningly hidden within the Radisson Blu Royal on Golden Lane, a stone’s throw from the bustling bars of Dawson Street. There’s a great range of facials available, from French brand Codage (from €130) to iSClinical Fire & Ice Resurfacing Facials (€165, 60 minutes); Bespoke IS Clinical facials are €85 for 30 minutes. Signature body treatments are €140 for 60 minutes. 01 898 2929; www.velvaerespa.ie.

CO WICKLOW

Run to the hill: Treat yourself to the otherworldly ESPA spa at Powerscourt in the Wicklow Mountains. All treatments are exclusively by ESPA, and guests have full access to the thermal areas, including the Swarovski crystal-lit heated pool, hammam suite, sauna and steam rooms. We love the idea of a relaxing but energising Salt & Oil Scrub, ideal for a pre-holiday exfoliation or simply to banish dry skin on a deep-down level. Also try the Summer Serenity 90 minutes of treatments, including Himalayan salt therapy and scalp massage, plus lunch, for €195, Monday-Sunday (available until August 31). www.powerscourthotel.com.

CO WESTMEATH

The big bathe: Head to Cedarwood Spa at Wineport Lodge, on the banks of Lough Ree, for a rejuvenating sleep body treatment by Voya. Don’t miss the scenic al-fresco seaweed baths (€65), too: choose from organic, hand-harvested Atlantic seaweed; a blend of organic essential oils including lemon, lime, clove, basil, mandarin and patchouli, combined with bath salts; or a dark, deep, soothing mud bath. Treatments from €85. www.wineport.ie.

CO CAVAN

Comfort zone: A bucolic 1,300-acre countryside estate on the edge of Cavan town, Farnham Estate has an expansive health spa complete with indoor/outdoor infinity hydrotherapy pool, thermal suite and relaxation areas. Try the Himalayan salt massage ritual (€125, 60 minutes), using Comfort Zone products (a lovely certified B Corp skincare line made in Italy). The treatment features body massage using warmed Himalayan salt blocks to relieve tension and stress, and a salt scrub using pink Himalayan salt crystals and aromatic oils to detoxify the body and restore vitality. Ground Wellbeing treatments are also available (from €85). Day spa packages from €150. www.farnhamestate.ie.

LIMERICK

The personal touch: Personalised treatments, tailored to what you need, are the way forward, and the Heritage Spa at No.1 Pery Square in Limerick has a new Therapist in Residence programme: a three-hour, bespoke “wellness experience”, designed to “reset, rebalance and restore”. Expect a unique holistic ritual for you alone, featuring a mix of therapies such as breathwork, guided mindfulness, foot or facial reflexology, Reiki, Indian head massage and Hopi ear candling. From the minute you arrive, the focus is on you, the spa tell us. And you take home a personalised “Wellness Map” for guidance and support post-treatment. This exclusive programme is available at the Heritage Spa, No. 1 Pery Square, from €289. For bookings and more details, call 061 402402 or visit www.oneperysquare.com. Spa treatments from €79.

CO LONGFORD

Sea power: Irish skincare and wellness brand Voya has created a new massage, available at all Aqua Sana Forest Spa at Center Parcs, Longford, plus UK locations. The Aroma Touch Massage is a customisable full body massage featuring Voya’s signature hand-harvested organic seaweed, combined with aromatherapy and deeply restorative techniques, for relaxation, energy or muscle relief. www.aquasana.co.uk.

CO KERRY

The big reset: The Spa at Killarney Plaza Hotel in Kerry is offering “The Ultimate Reset” – a results-driven treatment designed to “detoxify, sculpt and rejuvenate from head to toe” two-hour treatment – which harnesses the power of clinically formulated, cruelty-free skincare from Irish brand Skin Formulas. €249, 120 minutes. Book on 086 6621111; www.killarneyplaza.com.

CO CORK

Ready salted: The Spa at the Kingsley Hotel in Cork has a new salt therapy room in its thermal suite. Salt’s anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties reduce congestion: as you breathe, minerals found in the salt such as calcium, potassium and iron are absorbed by both the skin and your passageways, which can help clear pollens, viruses, toxins and other pollutants from the body. The thermal suite also has aromatherapy steam baths, hammam, tropical rain showers, cool mist and ice showers, infrared therapy room and tepidarium with heated loungers. Stay at The Kingsley from €199 bed and breakfast. There’s a new skin scanner, too, plus Kerstin Florian facials (from €125). www.thekingsley.ie.
